Actor Rajesh Hamal is awarded the “Communicator Award” of 2023 by Nepal Toastmasters


Kathmandu : Four Divisions of Nepal, Toastmaster International District 41 has successfully concluded CITATION 2023, the annual conference on March 11, Saturday, at Aloft Kathmandu, Thamel. Around 400 members from corporations, professional organizations, and other communities attended the conference from more than 60 toastmasters clubs of Nepal.

The prestigious Communicator Award, awarded to a non-toastmaster with excellencee in communication was handed over to Mega Star Rajesh Hamal by 3 top leaders of Ankur Yadav DTM, District Director of District 41, Suman Shakya DTM, Program Quality Director of District 41 and Moon Pradhan DTM, club growth Director for District 41. Ranjit Acharya DTM, Immediate Past District Director of District 41 announced the winner of this year’s award.

Actor Rajesh Hamal who was honored with the ‘Communicator Award’ for his communication skills and exemplary contributions. Rajesh Hamal is a Nepali Mega Star. He was born in Tansen, Palpa. He completed his schooling from Moscow, higher education (MA in English) from Punjab University, India. He is one of the most influential and popular actors in the history of Nepalese cinema. He is popularly known as the “Maha Nayak” of the Nepalese film Industry. As the most popular and widely recognized actor from Nepal, Rajesh Hamal is the most loved actor who has been loved by millions of Nepalese that live all around the world.
Upon receiving the award Mr. Rajesh Hamal. said, “I am honored to receive this award, it really feels good when you are loved and recognized. This award has given me more motivation to keep doing what I do”, He delivered his keynote speech after receiving the award.

In the conference, a panel discussion was also conducted under the theme “I am Integrity”. The panelists were Mr Bhusan Dahal, Mr. Anil Shah and Ms Reshu Dhungana and the discussion was moderated by Division A Director Diptee Acharya. In the discussion, all panelists highlighted on the importance of maintaining integrity in personal and professional life. Toastmaster members showcased their singing, dancing and standup talents in the conference, which was coordinated by Division C Director Rabindra Pradhan. The conference takeaway was summarized by two division B & D directors Jenny Manandhar and Brijendra Rochan Joshi.

Ankur Yadav DTM, District Director of District 41 said, “Citation 2023 becomes historic event for all of us and it was also a great learning opportunity for all. I am happy to have traveled from Delhi to meet all the members of Nepal Toastmasters, hope all of our members took full advantage of the networking opportunity. This has definitely helped to bring all the Toastmasters closer as one, empowering each other.”

Avish Acharya, event chair of Citation said, “The event was the largest gathering of Toastmasters in Nepal as yet for a day full of learning, networking, and, helping each other become a better version of themselves. I am very thankful to all the leaders for helping us organize this seamless event”

Currently, Nepal’s two senior toastmasters Suman Shakya DTM and Moon Pradhan DTM are serving District 41 as trio members serving as program quality director & Club growth director respectively.
