Women should unite for society and nation building: Deputy Speaker Ranamagar


Baniyani : Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Indira Ranamagar has emphasized that women should be united for society and nation building.

Speaking at a programme organised by Kankai Municipality today on the occasion of the 113th International Women’s Day, she emphasized that women should be united regardless of caste and religion. The voice of women in remote areas should be raised and all women should be independent.

On the occasion, Deputy Speaker Ranamagar felicitated 104-year-old Renukadevi Pokharel of Kankai-2, Anjana Sitaula, former principal of Kankai-7, football player Simran Rai and model Anshika Sharma.

Speaking at the program, Mayor Rajendra Pokharel said that the municipality is working for women’s rights and moral development while deputy Mayor Asha Sharma Siwakoti stressed for all possible support for the economic, social and political advancement of women.(RSS)
