Presidential candidate will be finalized by February 25, PM Prachanda says

Kathmandu : Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal have discussed contemporary political topics.

The two leaders held a meeting in Singha Durbar today and discussed the consultations among the parties on the selection of the candidate in the context of the election of the President.

In his brief response to journalists after the meeting, Prime Minister Dahal said discussions are in progress among the political parties and the candidate for the post of President would be finalized until February 25. “Discussions are on at present. It is not finalized now,” he said.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Narayan Kaji Shrestha was also present at the meeting. (RSS)
